Happy birthday to my mummy!!

So today is my mums birthday! So I make the cake every year using the same old sponge cake recipe… But this year I thought I’d be a bit adventurous and try a recipe that I always use… To make cupcakes. I know this recipe makes amazing cupcakes so surely a bigger cake version of it would be even more awesome.. Right? See my logic there? Well as it turns out… I won’t know until the cake is cut and tried… So here’s me with my fingers crossed! It came out a SUPER big but then deflated into a little flat cake.. One might also say it’s a little burnt. Oops.

But once it’s hidden that’s ok right? Haha

And so the creative mind gets to work…

Here’s the finished product

Lipstick Obsession

Lipstick Obsession

So it turns out I’ve more lipstick than I thought I had! My new obsession! Perhaps my first and last! hahaha. Ah, ya got to love the lipsticks! That’s not even half of what I own! We’ll see we’ll see! Soon my room will be a lipstick stock room! 🙂

Painting nails…

Isn’t it really annoying when you’ve painted your nails perfectly and you do something soooo little but because you’re trying to be soo careful, you end up just scratching the side of it!?

Image

So..tip? If you’re going to paint your nails make sure you’ve nothing to do for the next hour! Put on a movie or something, but whatever you do, don’t touch anything if possible! That will surely cut the chances of getting it wrecked to zilch! As long as you don’t wave your hands around or do silly stuff! Also, leave the doors open…you’ll be glad you did!!

Rimmel London: Lasting Finish Nail Polish 020 Tip top.

I think this colour looks nice on tanned/sallow asian skin! Girly, but not too in-your-face pink! My opinion anyways! 🙂 And good thing it dries pretty quickly!

OMGoodness!!! Loooook at those!!

I love cookbooks!!! Especially the ones full of pretty pictures!!! I think I’m referring to the baking cookbooks more so than the actual meal ones!!

Today was not as planned BUT I was walking for 4 hours with mummy looking for runners, which unfortunately I did not find…, but look what I did pick up!!!

Aren’t they pretty?! When I saw them I thought these would make great presents! Now that I’m home, I’m really considering keeping them for myself!
They’re just so pretty to look at!

Don’t you agree??

Back in Auckland and the start of Australian adventures!

So we dropped off our campervan and flew back up north to Auckland where Kieran’s friend picked us up! Played a bit of mini-golf! Fun times!

Image

Then back to the airport to fly to Australia! 2 weeks of Australian adventures! Upon arrival we saw this sign..

Image

We thought we were in for that Australian border control tv show! False alarm! We got through and it was practically empty!

Kieran’s friend picked us up and we headed back to theirs for the night! And OMG.. first encounter of wild kangaroos! One massive one hopped right out onto the road and was bouncing along ahead of us!! Then a smaller one after that! Was crazy! I was like.. AHHH OMG KANGAROOOOOO! And the guy goes “yeah, this is very common in Australia”. Wooo Woo! So if you like kangaroos/wallabies, this is your country.. IF you’re not afraid of large insects!

Then we went to visit some wild koala bears! Can you spot them!?

Image

It was hard to get close ups because they were so far away.

Then to the 12 apostles… I didn’t quite see twelve, but that happens as the rocks wear down from the waves

Image

And them some rock pool where eels swim up to during spawning season apparently

Image

We visited the Gold Mines and the towns they were inImage

Image

Then off to wildlife park! I loved the wildlife parks in Australia because wallabies and kangaroos were everywhere! And you can buy little seed packets and feed them or feed them bread! and the time we were there there were little babies in the mother kangaroo’s pouches!

Mother wallaby with baby wallaby poking out awkwardly! But so cute at the same time!

And parrots!

And then our friend Diesel! Drunk on his Eucalyptus leaves!

Beautiful view from a hill top!

We went to visit China town! So amazing! If you’re interested in Chinese culture or even if you’re Chinese with no interest, it’s really amazing. Just the history there!

A very pretty white tree!

One of the many piers in Melbourne!

Then off to see the little penguins! They didn’t let us take pictures of the actual penguin in case we scared them, so this is as good as it gets! 😀

Image

Walking the forest!! Strange seeds in the trees!

Image

Beautiful tropical flowers! I LOVE!

Image

Kangaroo paws.. because they look like kangaroo’s paws!
